Spring Auction - April 10, 2010
WE ROCKED THE HOUSE FOR CHICKERING !!!!
Rock-a-Palooza 2010 was a big success and we want to extend our huge thanks to all the
donors, bidders, and tireless volunteers who contributed to this incredible fundraiser for
Chickering. We are still working on our final accounting but it looks like we raised alot of money
for our school and we are thrilled!
A few important notes for auction item winners:
- If you won an item online, your credit card has now been charged. You can pick up your
items at afternoon carpool starting Tuesday, April 13th.
- If you won an item at the event but did not realize it or get the opportunity to check out,
you will receive an invoice in your child's backpack. Please send a check to school and
pick up your items.
- All non-object items have a folder with gift certificate and donor contact information so
please pick up your folders if you did not purchase a physical object.
We also still have seats available for Tour de Dover ($40) on May 7th and Spin for Chickering
($30) on May 8th. Please contact Nancy Kostakos (gkostakos@comcast.net) if you're interested
in joining these fun events.

Chickering School's Bi-Annual Auction Party

We’re planning to rock the house for Chickering this year! Our bi-annual silent and live auction
party promises to be a blast with music from the 70’s through the 90’s and great auction items.
There will be something for everyone!
We are currently working hard on planning the event, collecting donations and setting up a new
online auction that will enable a broader community to bid on our silent items for a month prior
to the actual event. We are happy to report that the online auction site is up and running at www.biddingforgood.com/chickering.

Tickets are now on sale, $50/person. Please make checks payable to Dover PTO and send via backpack or mail by March 31st to:

Additionally, please consider making a donation to the auction. We’re looking for a wide variety of items and services that YOU would love to bid on! Here are some ideas:
- Are you a great cook? Round up a group of friends and offer a catered dinner or cocktail party, or maybe muffins or baked goods monthly for a year.
- Team up with your neighborhood and host a themed party- backyard BBQ, Margarita Mayhem, Martini Madness, a wine tasting night, a couples bowling challenge. We all want some fun !
- Are you blessed with artistic talent? Offer a custom painted toybox, mural, or piece of artwork or jewelry. Give hours of organizing assistance or offer to design or help with scrapbooks. Make a flower arrangement a month for 6 months or a year.
- Are you a designer, decorator or photographer? Offer consultations, work hours or shopping assistance, or portrait sittings.
- Can you tutor or teach a sport or music? Offer a series of sessions or lessons. (tennis, swimming, skating, riding, golf, dance, music, to na
We will do the work and put together fun and interesting packages.
But wait! The other option is to join our group of family sponsors. Your gift will go towards
underwriting food, drink, decoration and other expenses as well as items to complete our
packages and baskets. See below for levels of giving. All donations will be recognized in our
program and are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
